This year for the second time spent a day in this authentic building with the hospitable Hehner family. Good and generous classic German cuisine, also for fish lovers, beautiful own Riesling and the renovated rooms are comfortable. Excellent price / quality ratio. Recommended, if only because of the unique host!

Very friendly owner. The Hehner brothers run this inn in Waldböckelheim in 7 generations. We treated ourselves to an arrangement lasting several days, including accommodation, luggage transport and transfers between individual stages on the Hildegard von Bingen pilgrimage route. After a very informative tour by Mr. Hehner over the Disibodenberg, we were driven to Waldböckelheim. A very delicious and excellent four-course menu on the subject of Hildegard von Bingen awaited us there. Every part was excellent and was suitably accompanied by selected wines from the winemaker Hehner - Kiltz. The rooms are modern and very well furnished and very well maintained. We felt very comfortable here and can only recommend the Weinhaus.

Highly recommended, the food is very good, fresh ingredients prepared with love and served just as warmly. We always love coming back here.

Food was good . Service is absolutely not acceptable . We had booked a table in advance , but they didn't seem to have reserved our table and seated us on a table for twice our number . Menus were handed out half an hour later , drinks arrived 45 minutes after arrival food took some more time to be served , some parts of the order (sauces) came as we were halfway through the meal ... three stars for the food , minus three stars for the service and staff ... All in all , it was not a good experience . Not likely to repeat it ...

I was positively surprised. A home-style restaurant with very good food. Good service. Attention is paid to regional products. Is really worth the way. Reserve better on Sundays

The food, beef steak was very good, despite 2.5 hours wait. The accommodation was catastrophic. Abgewöhnt, not very clean, not really reasonable.

Points the way .....

The tastiest rump steak I've eaten in a long time (with onions and mushrooms). Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right, it really melted like butter on your tongue. A compliment to the kitchen! What I also found great were the stories from the host about the history and background of some of the excursion destinations in the area. It was really interesting. I can recommend with a clear conscience.

Excellent regional cuisine. German classic with a twist of contemporary style. The Hehner brothers visibly enjoy life and adjust the pace accordingly. :-)

Long established gastronomy. In addition, Waldböckelheim is worth a trip on Carnival Sunday.
